Senior Financial Accountant
The Position
The Senior Financial Accountant reports to the Financial Controller and is responsible for month-end process, financial reporting and compliance.
The scope for the Financial Accountant is:

Key Deliverables
- Financial statements; prepare and finalise statements (balance sheet, profit and loss, cash flows statements) to schedule, coordinate review, finalisation, signing and lodgement; analyse statement for discrepancies and issues follow up to resolve and complete.
- Month End; manage month end, year end, and early close, ensure accruals and journals are processed correctly and in a timely manner.
- Reconciliations: monthly, quarterly and annual account, general ledger and bank reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
- General Ledger; manage multiple entities in all jurisdictions (Australia, Indonesia and Singapore), review monthly balance sheet, banking and inter-company reconciliations and complete monthly accruals and journals.
- Processing: Prepare and lodge BAS, FBT, Payroll Tax & Workers Compensation (in all states), and assist with the preparation of monthly payroll.
- Audits: co-ordinate audit processes for Australia, Singapore, and Indonesia.
- Compliance: compliance with financial regulations and legislation, ensuring accounting standards and policies are adhered to.
- Other duties: other duties and projects as required.
Experience
- Provide experience with in all areas of accounting, have managed month end and annual close, consolidated reporting (multi currency, multi jurisdictional), general ledger management.
- Experience with international reporting for global entities (e.g. IFRS) highly desirable.
- Managed or coordinate audit processes for multiple entities, worked with external audit firms.
- Worked at one of the Big 4 Accounting Firms is desirable.
- 3 year or more experiences gained at an accounting firm or mid cap corporate.
Industries/Background
- No specific industry background required, but renewable energy or energy would be preferred.

- Applications; high proficiency in Microsoft applications, particularly Excel, ERP (Xero and Netsuite)

- Communication; excellent written and verbal communication skills, highly proficient in preparing financial reports, dashboards and financial information simply, clearly and concisely.

Education and Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Studies or similar.
- CPA or CA or CIMA or ACCA
- Relevant Masters degree desirable but not essential.
